Default NG to LP on a Jenn-Air cooktop...conversion kit needed?
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: CG200B
Age: More than 10 years

HI! My husband and I bought a used Jenn-Air gas cooktop and installed it in our new home. It came set for natural gas and we need to convert it to LP. PROBLEM: the cooktop has no owner's manual or conversion parts. A qualified professional told us we need a conversion kit. Jenn-Air says that model does not need a conversion kit, the orifices are adjustable for either NG or LP. No one will hook it up without the conversion kit, which 3 different people at Jenn-Air told me does not exist for this model! I can't get a straight answer from anyone and we move into our new house on Friday! Is anyone familiar with this problem who could offer a suggestion or solution? Thanks in advance for your help!

Here is a part number for the LP conversion kit. The part number is PS46295.

Be sure that you keep the orifice for the natural gas in case you ever want to convert is back. The best place to put them is to tape them to the bottom of the cook top.
