 Need an oven thermostat?? Brand: Magic Chef Model Number: Gas 183-3 series T16D Age: More than 10 years
I have an older Magic Chef propane fired range/oven installed on a boat. The pilot light is fine, but when I turn the oven on, it will come on and burn for less than 30 seconds and then go off, and then cycle on and off every few minutes. I assume I need a new thermostat (part #993-427). However, it is listed as "no longer available".
Can I substitute another thermostat for this one?
