Default My oven keeps getting hotter and hotter!!!!
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: S160
Age: More than 10 years

I have a Jenn Air stove/oven from the 80's. We have not been able to use the stove for a while now because it burns EVERYTHING. We have been able to contiue to use the stove top with no problems. I am thinking that the thermostat has gone bad because the oven just continues to get hotter and hotter once it is turned on. It does not matter what the temperature is set at, the last time we used it it actually got so hot that it began to burn the inside of the oven.

If you do think it is a thermostat do you have any idea where it might be located in the unit?

The oven thermostat is your problem.

Here is a link to your oven model S160.
