Angry Maytag Self Cleaning Will Not Work
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MEW6530DDS
Age: 1 - 4 years

The Oven Was Self Cleaning When I Jerked The Door Open During Cleaning And Broke It. I Just Purchased A New Latch Assembly And This Did Not Fix Problem. Everything Else Works Fine. When You Press The Control Pad Button, It Just Beeps Twice And Cleaner Will Not Come On. Help. THE PART NO. THAT I REPLACED WAS 801222 LATCH, DOOR ASSY[W/SWITCH] AFTER TURNING OFF CIRCUIT BREAKER OUTSIDE OF HOUS E AND WAITING ABOUT FIVE MINUTES AND TURNING IT BACK ON. IT IS NOW FIXED. SO THE PART I PURCHASED DID SOLVE MY PROBLEM. THANKS THIS IS A GREAT SITE. KENNETH

What is the part number to the part that you replaced?

Here is a link to your oven model MEW6530DDS.

Does the door try to lock?

Are there any codes in the display?
