Thumbs down Maytag Range/oven overheating
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: per5750qaw
Age: 1 - 4 years

HELP...My oven is overheating. When I turn it on it goes right to 350 instead of 100 then up and doesn't seem to be cycling to cool down it just gets VERY HOT. What part do I need? Also my rear right flex burner quit heating 3 weeks before, what part does it need? Needless to say less then 4 years old...the Maytag man must be very busy if it only has parts that last such a short time!! The last one I'll buy!

Check the resistance of the oven sensor it should be 1100 ohms at 80 degree room temperature.

Here is a link to your oven model per5750qaw.

I replaced the sensor and my oven still goes to 350 and actually gets VERY Hot. What do you suggest I try now?:

The clock/control will have to be replaced.
