Default Magic Chef Oven bake not working
Brand: Magic Chef
Model Number: 64hn-4tkxw
Age: More than 10 years

The broiler works and the stove top works, but the bake does not work.

Replaced the Temperature sensor, does anyone know what else could be wrong with this oven.

When placed on bake, the oven temperature on the digital display goes up with in seconds then the bake element shuts off. The inside of the oven is still cool to the touch and the internal thermometer is reading in the 70 degree range. Even when the oven is placed on 500 degrees bake, the inside oven thermometer only registers at 200 degrees.

Everything else works but not bake.

Please help, need to get this fixed. thank you.

check the bake ignitor. It should draw between 3.2 and 3.5 amps when it is on ( glowing bright orange)
