Default Light for clock not working
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JJW8530AAB
Age: 5 - 10 years

The light for the clock and oven settings is not working. The time clock and tempature work, but you can not see the settings or time.

Is there a bulb to replace or must the entire part PS122399 be replaced?

Ken

You will have to replace the entire part.

Our oven has a similar issue. Clock is dim and tempature is barely visable. I took it apart and cleaned the window and display face and reseated all the connectors. It did not change anything. Do you think the display is failing, or is there something else wrong? SNOKING

After reading another thread, I looked at the display board again. A 68uf 35V capacitor was turned brown. I replaced it and the display is bright again. This was the smaller one on the end with the two larger 470uf caps.

I have the tools and training to repair circuit boards.
