Unhappy Latch Assembly Jammed- can't open oven
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JBP26GK
Age: More than 10 years
The latch assembly is completely jammed (probably bent or misaligned). At this point, all I want to do is release it so I can open the oven door. Any suggestions???

Make a hook out of a coat hanger and hook the latch and pull.

The latch should release.
