Question Kenmore S/T Range - Burner
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 790.95200
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore Smooth Top and the right side Burners - front and back - don't follow the control settings. The small back one, when turned to very low, will come on and go all the way to high and stay there; the Large, front Eye - when set on anything less than half way/medium, won't heat beyond very Low; This is the trend but they also vary other ways, so you just have to watch them. Both Burners will go to high tho. Any Ideas?

A secondary problem is that the Surface Glass and metal in front, on that side, heats up almost as much as a burner, and can drive you away from touching it.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm usually pretty good at fixing things but some of the electronic boards go beyond me...

THanks!!

Guy

You would have to replace the burner switches. They control the temperature of the burners. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
