I had my Kitchen Aid range apart tonight and it was simple. Open the range door, remove two screws on the underside of the range top at the front corners, lift the range top, remove four clips underneath that tighten the edge band, remove screws on each side at the back of the band, take the edge band off, lift the glass top off. There was a gasket around the edge that was stuck to the metal frame. Prying very slowly broke the seal and the glass came off. The elements are spring loaded to press up against the underside of the glass. Yours is likely a bit different but should be similar. |
