Good Evening All,

A few days ago our 1996 Kenmore built-in convection oven showed "Error F1" which disappeared when we pushed the cancel button. After a few times of this the oven door locked and the buttons would only beep when pushed, no clock, no oven function. the inside light would go on when button pushed.
After a few days of the door being looked, "Error F1" appeared on the screen again and the door was unlocked but still there is no oven functions.

I have tried to find my manual (in the house and on-line) to no avail. From the web, the model number seems to indicate that the Kenmore is actually a Fridgedaire.

I know I have some power, as buttons beep and inside light turns on but nothing can be cooked.

Any ideas out there? Any idea where I can get a manual. Who is the best to fix this?

The F 1 code is a failed clock control.

You are right that the oven is made by Frigidaire for Sears.

You will not likely find a repair manual for the oven.

You can try the library.

Where your model is a Canadian model I do not have a parts breakdown on it.
