Angry Jenn-Air Power Cord Troubles
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: seg196w
Age: 5 - 10 years

I recently purchased a Jenn-Air Gas/Electric Range with a Convection Oven. It appeared that all of the parts were with it, but when I tried to plug it in, I discovered it had an odd power cord. After investigating with Maytag and PartSelect.com, I discovered I had power cord #04100504 installed on my range. I ordered the Power Cord Maytag had, PN#Y702733. I had hoped that this would solve the problem, only to discover that I apparently need yet ANOTHER cord or adapter or something like that in order to hook it to the wall!!! NOONE knows what it is I need!! Can anyone help me here? Thank you in advance!!!

What type of wall outlet do you have?

Did you have a gas range before or electric?

Here is a link to your range model seg196w.

Sheila:

Apparently I am missing the blower motor. I have ordered the parts to replace it, and now, I am curious, do you know what/where the appliance to wall cord looks like as far as the actual receptacle end? is it a 2 or 3 prong, or a big one like on a dryer? I have also gotten all of the "power cords" listed by Jennair/Maytag, and now I am hoping that it is in some way attached to the blower motor assembly, but who knows til it arrives??? Help/advice/a picture maybe? Thanks!

The cord that plugs into the wall would be a big one like a dryer with either 3 or four prongs.

The three prong would look like this. The part number is PS126298.

The four prong would look like this. The part number is PS129034.

Hope this is what you are looking for.
