Question Jenn air oven will not heat up
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: wm27460w
Age: More than 10 years

I have a jenn air expressions convection wall oven. If you press any button like bake or something, it will display the function. Then it will take anywhere from 15-30 min before the fan comes on and it starts heating up. Does anyone have a suggestions ??

thank you

When you select the bake do you hear the relay click in or does it take awhile?

Do you see any codes in the display?

It may be the clock control unit.

Here is a link to your oven model wm27460w.

Unhappy Jenn Air - response

I think I don't hear a click, Sheila.

I push 'bake', then put in the temperature 350, I see an error message of F5 with beeping.

Now the fan does not turn on, oven does not turn on.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for your assistance.

The F5 means that the power element relays were disabled in the cook mode.

You could have a intermittent sensor or loose wiring harness connection from the sensor to the board.

Or it could be a intermittent contact on the power relay board.

Check the connections and check with a meter.

Sheila ,
I just checked all the connections. Everything looks fine. I plugged it
back in and pressed bake 350 and the F5 code comes on with a beep. Does
this seem to be that clock assembly?
Thanks,
wkendfixer

It is possible that you have a faulty relay board.

Sheila,
Sorry I took so long to get back to you. (Vacation) I ordered and replaced the relay board. Everything works just fine now.

Thank you for the help.
