New Range I get really pissed every time this thing quits working, and I look for a new, different range. Unfortunately, these things have gotten really expensive and when you look at how they are made...they are really, really expensive. My Mom bought a new Imperial range after a tornado destroyed her home in 1957. It was a fairly cheap range but it had a genuine porcelain outer and inner coating. After 35 years of use it still looked like it did when new. There was an electrical problem, the clock slowed.
By comparison my expensive Junk-Air has paint that you can rub off with your finger, the electronics must be from Radio Hack, and the interior parts will cut you faster than a dull razor. From reading in this forum, none of the other brands seem to be any better, they all have electrical problems and bad finishes. I long for the days when Americans made quality appliances in America. |
