Default Jenn-air, half a$$
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: sve47100w
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello
Have an old Jenn-air electric range and just replaced the bake element. while doing so touched one of the wires to the frame and shorted out. had no idea the wire could have been hot since the oven was off. whats up with that? anyway now everything seems to work about halfway. halfway hot. top burners wont work unless both are turned on. its almost like a 220 oven/range trying to work on 110. is there a fuse somewhere on the range?
Thanks
Fred

when working on anything with elect. you should discon. the power. One things that are 220 volts on leg is always hot. when you pulled the bake element out you still had 120 volts going to the element. reset your breaker in the house. if that dosen't work discon the power and look for a burnt wire in the oven
