Default Jenn-air electrical problem - help?
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: jds9860aap
Age: 5 - 10 years

our down draft, dual range jenn air stopped working on tuesday when we moved it away form the wall to place counter top. the gas of course still works, but the igniters do not, the control panel does not, and the oven does not work. i had a repairman come out today and look at it. he checked the wiring from the stove to the outlet and said it was live, but did not even take the back of the stove off to llok at the wiring. he said he needs to go home and look up the schematics on the computer first. can anyone help me find the schematics and give any advice on this problem? thanks...

If there is 240 volts at the outlet then a wire must have come of in the range.

Take the back off and see if you can see a wire that is off.

Here is a link to your range model jds9860aap.

The wiring diagram should be in a envelope on the range either on the back or in the drawer.

Thnaks for the reply, but it turned out that it was the wall outlet that had shorted out. once replaced, it worked like always.
