Default Jenn-Air in counter repair procedure
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: 88370
Age: More than 10 years

I have an infinite switch to replace a failed burner switch. Is it necessary to remove the entire range unit from the counter recess in order to access the reverse side of the control panel?

Thanks for any insights here.

Hi,

That model number does not seem correct.

Hi

This is the only number I've ever used to order parts for the range. On the ID label, model number, serial number, watts, voltage are listed. Model number is as posted. If any of the other items is of use, I can post them. The unit is identified as a 'range oven'. Probably 25 years old.

Thanks.

In case someone searches out this thread, the answer is 'no', it's not necessary to pull the oven-range from the counter to access the control panel.

Open and lift the oven door; it comes off easily (not necessary, but it makes things less awkward). 4 screws under the top of the oven door recess hold the control panel cover.

Once removed, there's very nice access to dead components.
