Cool Jenn-Air cook top, ignitor problem
Brand: Jenn-Air
Age: 5 - 10 years

The ignitors for all four burners, CVGX2423, all spark and continue to spark, when one is turned on. It has progressively gotten worse over the last few years. I do not think it would be the spark module, part PS121784 because it does spark. However, I do not know if the spark module controls when the spark should start/stop. The other possibility, I thought, is the Ignitor Switch, part PS122361.

Help.

Thanks, Phil

had same problem, sometimes you can unplug it and replug it in and it will work for a little while. But i ended up replacing the iginitor. you will have to pull the unit from the counter so you can unscrew the frame. But in the mean time while your waiting for the part just unplug it and use a lighter.
