I have a Whirlpool lift-up cooktop and need to replace it. How do I uninstall it, and then install the new one? I can't find instructions anywhere, nor how it's attached to the range in the back.

Any help would be great!

The PartSelect part number for your top is PS392803.

Unplug the range and remove the back panel.

Remove the hinge pins.

Remove the elements and drip pans.

Remove the element terminal blocks.

Remove the cook top support rod.
