Default Induction Cooktop Circuit...
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: CCE3450B
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Jenn-Air/Maytag model CCE3450B combination induction/radiant cooktop on which the to two induction burners on the left no longer function. They failed to heat with one burner going out and then the second burner failing about a year later. The "burner-on" indicators for these burners both light but the "pot-presence" sensor alarm does not sound when no pot is placed onto these failed burners now. Both radiant burners on the right hand side of the stove function well.

Can anyone provide me with a pdf file or even a block diagram of the induction burner circuits for this stove and some clues as to what parts of the induction power supply or associated circuitry typically fail on this particular model.

I am troubleshooting this for my sister who is 300 miles from my location, so I have not been able to take a casual look at the cooktop to do the typical overall inspection of the unit or take any measurements. Thus a circuit and some tips would be a big help prior to confronting the beast, face to face. I am an electrical engineer and fix all my home appliances but never got a shot at an induction stove before. Thus, the specific circuit or a typical induction cooktop circuit would be quite useful.

Sorry I don't have the wiring diagram for this cook top.

The wiring diagram should be with the unit which mean that you will have to wait until you are in front of it.

Here is a link to the parts for the cook top model CCE3450B.

Default Induction Cooktop Circuit...

Hello Shiela,
Thank you for mentioning the probability that the circuit will be inside the unit. I've benefitted from that on other appliances and it didn't occur to me in this case. Thanks also for the link to the repair parts site. This is one which I had found previously which appeared to be one of the best sites for parts.
