Default How to remove a cooktop fan to be cleaned
Brand: Tappan
Model Number: cannot locate
Age: More than 10 years

Need to find location of model # for the Tappan cooktop and how to remove the pop-up intake part of the exhaust fan to clean it. I believe the unit dates back to the early 1980's The name on the cooktop is convertomatic. The intake housing slides up and out of the cooktop. The two metal mesh filters slide in and out of both sides. The filters easily come off. I need to remove the entire pop-up part to clean it. I found the power supply and am able to unplug. mas
