I just got a quote from sears to fix my cracked glass top. It was more than was paid for the range. I would like to try to fix it myself to save money. How feasible is that and what part # do I need. Help please, this was not in my budget at this time.

The part number you will need is PS1528283.

It is not had to replace.

Open the oven door and remove the three or four screws that hold the top down.

Lift the top and disconnect the wiring harness.

Transfer the burner to the new top.
