Our Whirlpool RS6750XVW20 does the same thing. we replaced the plug unit for the burner because the range was sparking from that burner and throwing the breaker off at the electric panel.
We think it may have damaged another part when it got so bad that sparks were flying out of the burner even when the burner was off. The stove seems to work fine now that the Surface Unit terminal Block has been replaced where that burner plugs in, but the back ON light is staying lit all the time although the burner is off and is not hot.
Will it be safe to leave power on to the range? |
