Default Help with replacing an oven igniter
Brand: Please select
Model Number: GE Spectra
Age: 5 - 10 years

The igniter for my oven seems bad. I need some help in replacing it.

1) How do I remove the 2 screws that hold the igniter to the burner tube. I dont think I can get a wrench in there. Must I remove the tube. Looks like the front is held by one screw, that seems easy enough but not sure abou the rear.

2) The wires are spliced under the storage drawer. That should be easy enough but the wires are not color coded. How do I tell which wire goes where on the new igniter.

It sounds like you may need to remove the burnner assembaly to remove the igniter. it dose not matter what wire goes where[/color]
