Default Help I can't open the oven door
Brand: Jenn-Air
Age: More than 10 years

Believe me, I have cleaned the oven before. I just can't remember how to release the latch after the clean cycle. I've tried pushing all the buttons but it doesn't work. I remember it was something simple but I can't remember what. I have to bake cookies.
Thanks

Hi,

You will not be able to unlock the oven door until the oven cools off.
If the oven has cooled off and you still can not unlock the door then there is a problem with the oven.

That's a big help, appliance junk!!!!!!!!! Turn the selector switch to clean, and the thermostat to clean, and put the time in as if you were going to clean the oven again. Then once you do that, cancel the cycle. If the door does not open, I would need a model # to see what you have. Tom

Sorry if you did not find my post helpful, I tried.

My point was it may not be anything that they are doing wrong.

ditzy it would be great if you could post a model number as kayakcrzy asked for.
I am sure he will be of much more help to you then.

Happy Holidays,
AJ

Default Thanks, I remembered

The selectors had to be turned to clean to unlock the door. It says that on the inside of the oven. I couldn't give a model number because it was inside the oven as well and I did not have a book.
