 Heating element shuts down Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: RC8400XY Age: More than 10 years
I have a 10+ old Electric Whirlpool stove top. During heavy cooking, like Thanksgiving or Christmas, one location of the "burners" will stop working. To restart, the knob must be turned to off, wait a few minutes, then turn on. This restart will work for 10 -15 minutes, and then I need to repeat. I tried swapping heating elements, but the problem doe not follow the element. Could this be the thermostats? |
