The oven door does not close completely and their is hot air escaping from the upper corner of the door. Is this a problem with the rubber seal or do I need to adjust the hinges? It is a GE JBS03H2WH.

It could defineately be an indication that the hinge springs have become weak (most likely). The hinges or door may have neen bent as well particularly if the door when open has ever been used as a shelf, this is common on dryer doors that open this way as well.

If it feels like you can easily push it closed but it kind of flops back open a little then it's most likely the springs, one may even be actually broken.
