Default Have To Bang Display For Stove To Operate
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MER6770AQ
Age: 5 - 10 years

Stove Works Fine, At Times. However, At Times The Display Goes Out... The Oven And Stove Stop Functioning. To Make It Work I Have To Beat The Display With My Fist And It Comes Back On And The Oven And Stove Begin To Owrk Again.

There may be a loose connection in the panel.

Unplug the range and take the control panel down and check the connection.

Can you please check your model number as I can't locate it in our database.
