We have a Maytag Advanced Cooking System Electric Stove in a home we recently bought. It has a cracked (down the middle) glass cooktop. Not big enough to let food drop down.

Our inspector said we may want to check to see if it posed a hazard when cooking. Does anyone know if it is ok to use with small crack down center? I looked up part and it cost $250.00 form Part Select. I'm sure the stove is worth around $600.00 but not sure how old it is.

If there is any cracks in a glass cook top it should not be used.

This should be replaced.
