Default GE wall oven - can't ID model number or part number
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JTP1?WD1WW
Age: More than 10 years

Our GE electric wall oven constantly displays F2 and F3 error codes when trying to turn on the bake or broil elements, and the elements shut off and F2 or F3 comes up again while trying to bake or broil cooking.

It sounds like maybe a temperature sensor problem, or a control assembly problem. I can't read the model number because part of the sticker with the model number is scraped off. What I can read is JTP1?WDW1WW, or maybe JTP1?WOW1WW. That doesn't match any model number I can find on the GE website. The closest match to our ovens appearance is JTP18WD1WW, which does have a temperature sensor.

The oven has a white front, and three sets of up/down arrows under the clock/temperature readout, instead of individual buttons for numbers, which seems to be somewhat of an identifier, since not many GE ovens appear to use arrow buttons.

The sensor in the oven has a part number, WB21X5340, but that crosses to an oven ignitor switch for a gas oven.

Can you help me figure out what part I might need?

Thank you.

The f2 and f3 codes indicate either the oven control or the temperature sensor.

Can you have a look at this model to see if it looks like yours?

Here is the wall oven model JTP15WD1WW.

Shelia - thanks for the reply. The drawing does look like our oven, I just don't know why our model number has an extra 'W' in it after the D.

I guess I'll try replacing the sensor with the part fro the JTP15WD1WW and see if that does anything.
