Default GE Timer Replacement
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JKP27 008AD
Age: More than 10 years

I purchased a digital replacement timer (GE P# WB19X10006) for the old mechanical timer which had stopped working. The old timer was wired as follows:
Terminal One - Line 1 (L1)
Terminal Two - Output 1 (O1)
Terminal Three - Output 2 (O2)
Terminal Four - Line 2 (L2), &
a jumper wire from terminal 1 to terminal 4.

The instructions with the replacement timer states as follows "The wires connecting to the replacement timer must correspond to the terminals on the current timer" but the wiring diagram shows the following:
Terminal One - L1
Terminal Two - Output 1
Terminal Three - L2, &
Terminal Four - Output 2.

There is no jumper wire from any of the terminals.

Which way should it be wired and is the jumper wire needed?

Thank you,
HW Johnson
