Question GE Stove humming
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JSP40WOW4WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi.

Hopefully someone can help me (and the repairman ) figure this out. About 3 weeks ago, my stove started humming. This happens intermittently while the oven is on, and while its cooling off.

The repairman did not know what it could be, and wanted to start swapping indiscriminately. Does anyone know what the source of the noise is?

Thx

RM

Where abouts is the humming coming from?

It may be the locking motor.

Here is a link to your range model JSP40WW4WW.

Default Humming

The noise seems to be coming from the oven cabinet.

Is it coming from the front near the door or at the back near the controls?

Please be a descriptive as you can.
