GE SERVICE for cooktop JP939B0H1BB FYI I opened a service call online and put in the model #, and the error code-f112. I also stated it was a cooktop.
The technician arrived and did not read the report because he was surprised to learn it was a cooktop. He also did not know the error code. He went to the stove and saw it was error F112 and said he needed to talk to higher level techs. He left and then called me back to say he was ordering a control bd, which would take a week.
While waiting for the board I searched online forums and realized he might not be correct.
So, I took stove apart and found the technical diagram. I then entered the TECH program for the stove and found that the left front burner thought it was at 529 degrees. Went to HomeDepot and bought Voltmeter. So, I then opened stove back up and ohmed out the burner-it was ok. But, the RTD is at 4000 ohms while the other 3burners are at ~1070 ohms.
The problem is the left front burner. I disconnected so I can use the other 3 burners while I wait for part. |
