Default GE Profile Truetemp Wall Oven
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JTP18WOA2WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi, I Have a GE Profile True temp White 30" Electric Wall Oven.
We have started having a problem with it. If the oven is in the off mode (only the digital clock is operating) It will start beeping about every 10 minutes or so and it has a code that comes up F-7. I have disconnected all power to the unit as the owners manuel states and repower the unit after a few minutes (as long as 2 days) To reset the unit but it goes back to the same error code. Any help with the problem or parts that are needed would be great. Thank You Stuart.

The F7 code is telling you that you have a stuck key or a problem with the ribbon connector going to the control or the control its self.

To see if it is the keypad disconnect the ribbon connector to the control.

If the code is gone then it is the keypad.

If the code is still there the control is faulty.

Here is a link to your oven model JTP18WOA2WW.

Default problem with GE Profile oven

We are having the same problem but when you hit the Clear/Off button it will clear the F7 and stop peeping. Also some times it will peep and on the LED it will say Broil High. I'm not really handy so what would I expect to pay to have this checked out and would any certified appliance repair person be able to do this or dod you need GE repair.
Thanks

What you pay for service will depend on who you hire to do the job.

It is best to hire an appliance service company that has had GE factory training.

Default Oven won't shut off and keeps beeping.

I recently moved into a house with this same oven. The first time I baked anything, the oven would not turn off and would beep every five minutes. The display flashed an "F7" and "d6"...does anyone know what these mean?
