Default GE Oven won't heat up
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: jgbp26wea1ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

i haven a GE oven model # jgbp26wea1ww. The stove works. The broiler works. We see a spark. but we don't have anything heating from the bottom. What part do I need? Is it easy to fix?

Thanks! =)

The wires to the lower bake element might be burned. Usually best to replace the element and redo the wires.

one of my friend's said it might also be the valve, is that possible? Gas stoves. so frustrating. This all sounds like stuff that I should order parts and hire someone to take care of. Is this all hard to take care of?

Thanks for the help!

You probably have a bad igniter Pn wb2x9154 Check for 115 volts to it or check resistance. Handle the new one carefully. The gas valves just almost never fail.
