GE Oven Control Malfunction Brand: General Electric Model Number: GRCL3650ZWW1 Age: 1 - 4 years This model has a digital clock/timer combined with a rotary knob which controls oven temp and also selects broiler or self clean.
Over a period of weeks the rotary knob has progressively lost function. A few weeks ago the knob worked normally except when the timer was used. Pushing the timer keypad caused the oven to turn off. By not using the timer the oven functioned normally. However, soon the knob needed to be pushed in and held for a few seconds in order to turn the oven on and set a temp. Now, the oven control knob does not function at all. The clock/timer still works normally as long as the oven control knob is not used.
Can the oven control function be repaired without replacing the whole clock/control assembly? Thank you. Dave |
