Default GE glass oven door not attaching
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JGBP33SEH3SS
Age: 1 - 4 years

I removed the two screws for the glass door so I could clean the inside glass. When I reassembled the glass trim to the heavy door, it all seemed fine. Then, the glass panel just fell out. I notice the glass slides up into 2 holders at the top but it seems the bottom of the glass is only supported by 3, small square, double-sided pieces of tape. There is also some silver sealant that goes across the bottom of the glass and the glass just seems to rest on a very thin ledge (not enough to hold anything). Certainly there must be more that supports bottom of the heavy piece of glass?? Please help.

You are right. The only other thing holding the glass in is two way tape.

When the glass is removed for any reason the two way tape should be replaced.

If you wish to contact General Electric directly here is their numbers.

USA 1-800-626-2005

Canada 1-877-959-8688

They do not list a part number for the two way tape on their parts breakdown.

Here is a link to your range model jgbp33seg3ss.
