Default GE Elec Wall Oven lower element inop
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JKP27WoP3WG
Age: More than 10 years

Replaced digital control board for double oven bec. it went out and flashed a system error L1. Powered it up and all looks good except cannot get the lower heating element to heat. I set it for 350 deg. but it will not get above 100. Clock works. Top broiling element works. Lower oven on the seperate dials work. Could there be something wrong with the new control module? Could it be coincidence that the lower element went bad the very moment I hooked up the new control module?

If the bake element is not heating it could be a wire at the element off or the element has failed.

It is not likely the new control.

Remove the element and check.

Here is a link to your oven model JKP27WoP3WG.
