Default GE double wall oven
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: jkp45wop1wg
Age: More than 10 years

Hi,

My upper oven's door recently lost a spring on the left side, which allows the door to open with a crash if not handled carefully. I can tell the spring is broken on the left because I can see the right-side spring through the slit that the hinge protrudes through.

The part number according to your website is ps230805. My problem is with installation - there doesn't seem to be any obvious way to access the spring.

Any tips/sources greatly appreciated,
Derek

The only way to access the spring is to take the oven out of the wall.
