Default G.E. oven takes a long time to heat
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: JGBP75WEY1WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

We have a problem getting the oven up to temperature. The stovetop and broiler work fine. I removed the bottom pan from the oven to see the burner. the igniter glows and the burner lights. The flame starts strong for a few seconds then it starts to sputter like its not getting enough gas, then after about a minute it settles to a low consistant flame. It takes about half an hour to reach 350,and has a problem getting past 425. Thank you for any advice.

It sound like you have a weak igniter and it is not holding the valve opened fully.

Here is a link to your range model JGBP75WEY1WW.
