Default Front Right Element, Inner Working, Outer Not working
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MER5770AAB
Age: 5 - 10 years

The front right element is partially inoperative. The center piece of the element works, but the outer portion is not working. Is this just a simple element swap?Should I check for certain level of Ohms? Any help would be appreciated.

It may be the element or it could be the switch.

You can check the element for continuity on the outer coil to see if the coil is opened.

You will need to refer to your wiring diagram.

The wiring diagram should be in a pouch on the back of the range.

Here is a link to your range model MER5770AAB.
