Default Frigidaire element not heating unless another element is turned on
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: 316021501
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi, I put the number of the part in as the model number. I have a frigidaire smoothtop range. I believe the switch is bad on one of the stove elements. When you turn it on without having any of the other elements on, it will not heat, but as soon as you turn on another element, it's as if it completes the loop and it heats up. The switch can then control the level of heat, but will not work independently of the others. Am I right with this assumption? Thanks a bunch. Laura

Yup, this is a switch. You might have to do a little rewiring.
