i have a appx 3 year old elec range model that the lower element is not working on. broil works, bake does not. all other operations seem to work fine. how do i diagnose if its the elemnent or possibly something wron in the controls??? please help

It is most likely the element. Kill the power to the oven, and take the 2 screws out then remove the element. If you have a meter, If you get a reading it is good, if not it is bad.
