I noticed that this has happened to many other people on here but I have a little bit different questions. Recently one of my roommates dropped a bottle on our range top, making a spiderweb like break and cracks that run across the top. Would it be possible to simply fix the glass? Or is this something which has to be replaced. Since the range is provided by my landlord the fix only needs to be temporary.

I am not aware of anything to fix the glass. We usually replace the glass. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Thanks for your input, we will probably just replace the top since our landlord will most likely easily spot any damage. Can anyone tell me how hard it would be to replace this part? I've read many posts that relate to different ranges, by comparison will it be harder to replace on my whirlpool range?
