Question Faulty Fail Code Display
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: SVE47600B
Age: More than 10 years

I have had the dim display malfunction already and replaced the clock and touch pad about a year and a half ago. All worked fine until today, we were using the oven at 450 degrees and the beeper went off after about 10 min (est). It displayed a code of F- (no number). Had to flip breaker to stop noise, merely turning the oven off had no lasting effect.

I suppose the no number thing relates to an imminent total failure.

Would appreciate any hints or solutions others may have found.

Will the oven come on? If so it could be your oven sensor. I looked up the codes for your Oven, and just an F code does not come up. If you need me you can reach me at my website at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Thought I had posted a reply to this a while ago, but can't seem to locate it. Will try again.

Yes, oven seems to be OK, at least until the alarm goes off, then the timer stops and operation is questionable.
I am intending to check the sensor first chance I get. I understand it should read 1100 ohms cold, is this correcr?
