Default Fan in upper oven continuously runs
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 790.47773400
Age: 1 - 4 years

Just about 2 or 3 weeks ago, the exhaust blower in the upper oven started as soon as we preheated the oven. It runs the entire cook time and usually about 30 minutes after we shut the oven off. Looking through the manual it says this is normal but this never happened for 3 years and it now just makes for a noisy oven. It doesn't appear to happen on the bottom oven. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hi Sheila, thanks for the reply. I took a look at the parts catalog and there's a "thermal switch", is that the part you're referring to?

The other question of course is whether it's a relatively simple process to replace or would I need to call in technician.

Thanks again!

If you are a handy person you should be able to replace the thermal switch (disk).
