Default F9 and continuous beeping
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: CFEF357EC1
Age: 5 - 10 years

We stopped the self cleaning to early because off the smoke...
Now we have a continous beeping and an F9 error on display

This is the problem:
- we plug in the frigidaire ( because otherwise it's beeping every 3 seconds)
- you hear the door mechanisme turning ( rough sound)
- beeping starts, display shows 'DL', and you can open the door
- beeping goes faster after 15 sec, display shows ' F9', and you can not open the door
- Than we push the 'Clear/off' button so the beepings stops
- we hear the door mechanisme turning (rough sound)
- and the beeping starts again, display shows 'DL', and you can open the door
- beeping goes faster after 15 sec, display shows ' F9', and you can not open the door
- Than we push the 'Clear/off' button so the beepings stops
- we hear the door mechanisme turning (rough sound)
-...

Can we put the sound off?
How do we fix this error? Any suggestions?

Let me help you guys out. Pull the oven out, and of course unplug it. Now take the big back panel off. Now from the picture that I have it looks like if you are behind the stove the part is on the left. That parts is the lock mechanism. If you turn the cam by hand it will unlock the door. When you turn the cam it will lock it and unlock it. One of you turn the cam, and the other open the door. Turn the cam until the door latch hook is all the way to the side of it being unlocked. That cam that you turned. That piece comes all together with the switches, the solonoid, and the cam assembly, all on the one piece. The part # is 318095937. If you need anymore info, or a picture of the product. I could be reached at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

If the door latch is alway the closed then you would need a new board. The part I told you about is in there rear. Some times the picture does not show you right side or left side because it is back there. I just wanted you to check that before you replace a board. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
