Smile F9 appears in panel
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JER8850AAW
Age: 5 - 10 years

F9 appears in the panel on top of the stove. I'm told that the lock feature on cleaning mechinizm is malfunctioning. We have opened the top of the stove and tried to work with the condensors and the lock mechinism and we can get it to work for a while but at three A.M. in the morning it starts to beep and F 9 appears in the panel again and the stove does't work...a Tech said I needed a micro computer board that operates the door but in looking at the parts section I cannot determine what part that is and intalking with the customer rep in the parts section they could not help me either...thank you in advance for your assistance.

It is likely the door locking assembly that you will need to replace.

It is number 18 on the body breakdown.

Here is a link to your stove model JER8850AAW.

The only computer board is the clock control unit.
