Default F7 Code & beeping 30" wall oven
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 911.41089890
Age: 5 - 10 years

TWICE in the past 4 years the oven's electronic controls revert to F7 code with a steady beeping. Can only momentarily clear the condition until it starts over.
When under warranty Sears replaced the clock/control circuit board. Now they want $195 for the same part. How long should I expect it to last?
Is this a probable design defect?
According to Sears, the P/N is WB27T10272R

Has anyone else been in a similar pickle?

David you can get the part right here for $132.32, and you can buy the part at Mid south parts in Arkansas for $121.98. There phone # is 1-479-756-9540. The other answer to your question on how long should you expect it to last. No one can honestly answer. Does you power go out alot in your area? Do you have power surges. These things make a difference, in an appliances life. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Default Kenmore F7 error code

I read a reply from you about an F7 error code on a kenmore oven. I want to know how difficult it is to change out and how do I get to the circuit board.
Thanks
RainJ

Just take the screws out that hold the control panel in place, and replace it. It is no big deal. You can get the part right here at part select. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
