Default F3 error code
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: fef336asc
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have an oven giving me the f3 error code, which from what i've read is just a bad temp sensor. however before i go ordering the part I want to make sure that error cant be something in the electronic control. When i got this stove a friend of mine was going to toss it out, they paid to have one electronic board replaced and didnt want to do it again. it was pretty much brand new (but a scratch and dent so no warrenty).

What happened was a wire fell off the broil element in back, hit the metal shield, and actually blew the solder off the relay joints on the circuit board. I soldered it back up, everything worked fine for a year. Last week while it wasnt in use it started beeping with an f1 error code, i took the board apart, resoldered a few joints that looked suspect, plugged it back in. no f1.

Went to test it out, hit bake, set the temp. the relay clicked, you could hear the electricity start buzzing, then it shut down, started beeping with f3. I can do this over and over, bake and broil. always the same thing.

Just a temp sensor? or could it be the electronics?
